Archibald "Archie" Taylor (1882 – ?) Born in Dundee in Scotland, he was a professional footballer, who played North and South of the border for Falkirk, West Ham United, Huddersfield Town and Barnsley.

Club career

Archie Taylor captained the Barnsley team who won the FA Cup in 1912[1] when Barnsley beat West Bromwich Albion in a replay after the first match ended goalless. The Manchester Guardian, when reporting on the first match noted that he kept the WBA winger Jephcott in check.[2] In the replay his play was again praised.[3]
